Great shop! I’ve been a follower and an admirer for years, and appreciate your columns in Clean Eating magazine!!!

I can’t “catch up” to all you’ve done, but I aspire to spread the healthful good news you do, via books, articles and appearances!

Hi Jonny,

I’d like to know what you would give yourself out of all your info books/CDs that you would benefit most from?

wow, what a great question and difficult to answer. I’d say it depends on what someone is looking for- i think the DIET BOOT CAMP stands as a great program for losing weight, but for overall health and longevity I’d probably say “7 Pillars of Longevity”, which is a nice accompaniment to the latest book, “The Most Effective Ways to Live Longer” coming out in Jan..

it’s a hard question- like asking me which of my three beloved dogs i love the most! :) (answer: i love them all the same!)

I’m soooooooo glad you have a new book! I have read them all and love them. I am all about trying to live to a healthy end…most people have a long, excruciating, debilitating finish to life…I want to be vibrant and happy one day and dead the next…I won’t be a statistic for Medicare where 80-90% of Medicare dollars go to the last 2 months of a recipient’s life…so very wrong on so many levels. Thank you for your book!

Shop looks super! My dilemma is inability to gain weight and unintentional 20+ weight loss-already was slim.

Hi Galen!

I’m so sorry- i misread! I thought you were trying to LOSE 20 pds.. ok, no problem. You need to add more protein, more calories and train with weights a bit harder than you’re now doing (heavier weights, lower reps, to failure). IF you’re not working with weights, start immediately! I suggest Whey Cool Protein as a GREAT way to add extra calories- mix with almond milk and berries; you want to start by adding about 500 calories a day (HIGH quality like whey cool protein, or chicken breast or grass fed beef, etc..) if that doesn’t work, go up in calories. It will eventually work if you’re training hard!

Truthfully, I found your Christmas shop a little confusing. Instead of having a place to purchase all of your products, we are taken to different areas and sites. For instance, if I was interested in vitamins, I get sent to a vitamin info page, then have to choose another link to go to the vitamins and then choose vitamins and I was wondering if the CODE would even work in this area. Same as the books you offer… Great products, just a little confusing. Thanks, Pam

thank you Pam. It’s very hard to do this stuff- requires code, marketing, planning, design… we tried a number of approaches but believe it or not this worked best. The vitamin store is all in one place and there’s 15 percent off everything there; then the info products which are normally in different places on the website (i.e. audio books, e books, dvds, etc) are now all on one christmas page.. The reason you go to another page to order is that there’s a lot more info on that other page than can be fitted into the “catalogue” page..
hope that helps

Looking great! It is a nice gift giving help and sales are of course always delightful (I love the meal and whey powders I last ordered from you – such excellent products – highly recommended, may need to get some more, hehe).
I was so excited to see your new book being available (had been keeping an eye on that January due date) and ordered several. Your books make excellent (and oh so useful and educational) Christmas gifts (although a bit costly to ship overseas due to the substantial size :-) ). My friends and family may soon give up on me due to persistent health and JB propaganda, but I’ll take the risk. Life is dangerous ;-)
Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us. You are not only wise and knowledgeable, but also a great writer and an inspiration :-)

Warmly,
Natascha

As a chaplain, my foremost thought is: help me understand what/how much discussion you had in choosing the name. Many people in our culture celebrate holidays other than Christmas, and many are agnostic. While I can understand your not wanting to miss this marketing opportunity, I cringe at the nearly universal commodification of Christmas. So on strong grounds of both religious pluralism and anti-commercialization, I suggest considering an alternative name, such as “giftsource” or “holidaysshop.” …And to *all* a good night & a healthy new year.

Maud
Thank you so much for your thoughtful input. We were Jewish growing up, but nevertheless celebrated the holidays in a very “nonsectarian” way with both menorahs and Christmas trees and i always thought of Christmas as having a wonderful holiday feel for all people regardless of faith (or lack thereof). But your point is very well taken and I will do it differently next year. Thanks again for your input

Fabulous! It’s great to see such a great line-up resources to keep us healthy. Gonna need to steal a bit away from my Christmas gift list money to get at least one for my own Christmas stocking. And since I work on my 3 daughters and their families to stay healthy, I’ll be sure to share what I get for myself and if I don’t get something for their Christmas stocking this month, in the next few months, birthday presents will be purchased here. Thanks for always suggesting how we can get healthier and healthier. Best wishes for your holiday season. Jim

I have bought your “150 heathiest foods” book in the UK. Just a question that you may wish to cover in a future book: if haem (the red colour in meat) is damaging to the intestine (and hence one of the reasons for recommending its restriction): why does the same not apply to venison and other game meat which is red in colour?

Best wishes

Possibly the new edition of “Living Low Carb” coming out in January– she can skip around and find the parts that appeal to her but it may be just what she needs to start the conversation!

I purchased “The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth” a couple months ago, and I love it. I love how it’s not a diet book but an encyclopedia of good and whole foods, with a lot of science behind it. I have been incorporating many of the superfoods, etc., into my diet (raw whole milk–woo hoo!) and walking in the mornings; I have lost more than 20 lbs (lots more to go, but it’s a start). Between your books and documentaries like Food, Inc., my diet moving forward is both personal and politicaI–for good health and longevity as well as a healthy planet–with no loss of love for food. It’s all quite empowering. Thank you for the education. I look forward to the new book!

I have read your books, and use them. I read any information you send me on my e-mail address. You have inspired me to keep on eating well. I do not know which Vitamins to pick for my own health, which is one of the shortcomings of using a mass media website: I do not know what, or how much applies to me personally. There are so many choices. Is there a difference for me, a cancer survivor, than for somebody else? We are presently in a cancer epidemic! This is just my opinion. I fear for my daughters life, as well as my own. Thanks for your dedication! You have saved many lives.
